In 2008, three Dallas-area foundations came together for a learning group on early childhood. Out of that group, the vision for the Zero to Five Funders Collaborative was formed. Today, 34 private funders leverage their collective investment to make a bigger impact than each could individually.

Each partner commits a minimum of $10,000, and as much as $200,000, annually to the Collaborative’s work. These funds are pooled, then distributed to fund staff, programs, facilities and evaluation for efforts to improve the school readiness of children ages 0-5. The Collaborative’s collective impact work is currently focused on the Bachman Lake community in Dallas.
